Spanish-owned property being seized in the United Kingdom

As part of the enforcement saga of investment treaty arbitration awards issued in the renewable energy disputes against Spain, a Luxembourgish investor (formerly known as “Antin”) secured a seizing order from the British courts directed at property owned by the government of Spain in London. The property is currently being used as a private international school (reported here). We discuss Spain’s unsuccessful attempt to set aside the registration of the award leading to the seizure before the Commercial Court in this issue’s case notes. (here)
